Summary: I’m part of the growing following for Reebok fitness equipment. My winter go-to is still a trusty Reebok treadmill. The Reebok GB40 One Series Stationary bike is a replacement for the popular ZR8 range, which has been discontinued. This is a well featured bike at the lower end of the price range. It has distinctive good looks. For me it looks like a hybrid of a spinner bike and regular exercise bike. The GB40 certainly packs a punch in terms of resistance and the console.
There are several impressive pictures of this exercise bike, and even a video explainer, over on this dedicated amazon.co.uk product page.

Detailed Review of the Reebok GB40 ‘One Series’ Stationary Bike
You’ll get a unit which is already 50% assembled. While I am not entirely sure how this is measured, it does show that Reebok understand that not everyone enjoys putting equipment together. This bike is mid-sized. It is 100 cm long, 52cm wide and 132cm high to the tip of the handlebars. At a touch over 30kgs, it will be easy enough to roll into place using small wheels on the back part of the stand.
This stationary bike certainly looks the part. The mechanism is hidden in an angled box under the seat. At the front, the handlebars point to the sky, with the larger than average computer console nested between them. You can pick colours, with the yellow detail looking great (for me at least!) against the black hardware.
2-Way Adjustable Seat
Reebok advertise the maximum user weight for this bike at 110kgs. That is just over 17 stone. When it comes to comfort, the height of the seat is the key. This is fully adjustable within a 60cm range, which should accommodate even the tallest users. You can also adjust the seat vertically (move is back on a small runner) to get the most comfortable seating position.
Some people swear by padded gel saddles – as the default on even upper end exercise bikes can be hard on the behind! I would also recommend a rubber mat. These are inexpensive and can save wear on your carpets or hardwood floors.
Working Out on the GB40 from Reebok – Console and Adjustable Resistance
This model has a 6kg fly wheel, which is average for the price range. There are 8 levels of manual resistance, which you’ll adjust by turning a knob. The upper levels will give you a tough ride.
I like the size of the console and the simple circular control for this. There is an integrated pulse sensor, which kicks in when you grab the special area on the handlebars. You’ll find 4 programs in the console. You will also see measurements covering time, distance, speed and calories burned.
For the extra features, I should note the drink holder under the console. Once you have enjoyed this, you’ll never get on an exercise bike without one again!
Feedback: What Previous Buyers Said About the Reebok GB40 Stationary Bike
Other than one buyer who seemed to think they were the ‘clever one’ by deducting points for Eastern European service agents (hmmm), the feedback is largely positive. That uncomfortable seat got a mention, though this is wider than those you get on a lot of ‘no brand’ bikes.
Pre-assembly was mentioned, and in general, people were happy with the quality and the workouts. It is fairly early days since the ZR8 Bike was replaced, so I do recommend you take a moment to scan through the more recent comments for yourself.
Wrapping Up: Is the Reebok GR40 Stationary Bike the Right Model for You?
This is a lower priced bike with great looks and a solid spec – which comes from a reliable brand that have a track record of creating solid fitness machines. It is not the ultra-low-price range, though for those looking for a value bike that will last, it certainly ticks the right boxes.
The looks are distinctive, and there is plenty enough ‘under the hood’ to keep the whole family fit.
